PLACES

A lot of great bird images were taken in the photographer's backyard. But for most of us, doing that would limit us to cardinals, blue jays and a handful of other common song birds. Jim Richardson, of National Geographic, is credited with saying "If you want to be a better photographer, stand in front of more interesting stuff." We want to increase your chances of standing in front of more interesting birds by providing a guide to some of the great birding hot spots.
